"ציור בריבוע"

אבי גולובינסקי מהווה תופעה בלתי רגילה בשדות האמנות הישראלית. גולובינסקי אינו מתמקד  באף אסכולת אמנות מקומית ידועה ואינו משתייך לאף קבוצת ציירים ויוצרים כזו או אחרת. יצירתו המתמשכת מציגה עשייה ייחודית ומקורית משלו שאין לה דומה ואין לה מתחרים.

צפייה מעמיקה ביצירותיו של גולובינסקי מגלה כי הן מעוצבות בפורמט ענק וכוללות מרבצי צבע עצומים, כמיליון גוונים של צורות בלתי נדלות, אוצרות של סמלים וקודים בלתי מפוענחים נתונים לפרשנותו האישית של הצופה. לעיתים, נראים נושאי עבודותיו סוריאליסטיים לחלוטין, נעוצים בחוויות אישיות ובמרקמי תמונות אותם הוא נוטל ממאגרו הפרטי והמוסתר. ולמרות זאת, הן סוחפות את הצופה למערבולת חושית מרתקת ומעניקים לו חוויה דרמטית עצומה.

תערוכה זו הנה השנייה במספר בהיכל התרבות בפתח תקוה. כמו בתצוגה הקודמת גם כאן ועכשיו מוצג עולם דימויים הנראה כאילו נלקח מתוך תוכניות מחשב מתקדמות, עולם הנבנה מהסימון הדיגיטאלי. דווקא העובדה, כי האלמנטים כולם  מצוירים ביד ובטכניקות ציור קלאסיות, דבר זה משווה להן מרקם אישי, מקורי ובעל תכונות טיפוסיות כל כך לשפתו האמנותית של אבי גולובינסקי. יש תנועה לירית מרשימה בגופים הנעים בחלל. בחלק מן האובייקטים המצוירים יש רמיזות להתייחסות לאברי גוף, חלקם נראים כמו פנים או מסכות עם עיניים פתוחות וצופות אל עברו של הצופה בהן. בחלק מן הציורים יש התייחסות לחלקים שווים ושונים, מעין סימטריה אישית של חלקי פרקטלים, שבונה האמן ביצירותיו. תערוכתו של אבי גולובינסקי מבטיחה מסע משותף אל עולם הפנטזיות שלו ושלנו הצופים.

אבי גולובינסקי יליד 1960 מתגורר ויוצר בפתח תקוה. למד אצל נחום טבת בין השנים 1977-1981. הציג תערוכות בגלריה טובה אוסמן תל-אביב, גלריה אפרת, גלריה שרה קונפורטי, גלריה ארטא, בחית האמנים בפתח תקוה, בחלל אלוריון בקרית עתידים, בהיכל התרבות פתח תקוה ובמגדלי המוזיאון בתל-אביב.

Avi Golovinski lives and paints in Petach-Tiqva, Israel. His paintings - galaxies suffused with color, express his deep engagement with the technical dimension in a distinct futuristic style. Weavings of infinite shapes, suspended in space ,in motion toward the future and towards the universe of our imagination.
To appreciate his creative work, one needs to immerse in following the tiny square shapes in the impressive psychedelic mosaic of mirrors. The bounty of color that infuses Golovinski's painting is beyond superficial comprehension and requires deeper emotional engagement on the viewer's part. Golovinski exposes in his paintings his personal spiritual journey and he invites us to engorge ourselves on his endless shape-color combinations. The main motif in the paintings is the " Karamis" - the water carrier, which symbolizes the individual's existential burden, and his obligation to art, like the mythical Atlas heaving under the weight of the globe.
The Israeli curator, Miriam Hameiri, comments on the "Karamis" project:" The water carrier symbol bursts its confines, like a living organism under the eye of an microscope, morphing from one shape to the next, recreating itself with every computer aided transformation. The colorful whirlpools turn into seashells and creatures pinning for freedom seem to be bursting from the confines of the rigid painting frame, but at the end, their dynamic nature subdued."

Avi Golovinski was born in Israel, in 1960. He studied art with Nahum Tevet, the renown Israeli painter and teacher, between 1981 and 1997.

Golovinski has had one person exhibitions at galleries: Tova Usman, Galleria Ephrat, Sarah Konforti, and Galleria Arta. Avi's paintings graced the set of the hit Israeli Tellenovela:"Forever Love".
Golovinski's current exhibit opens on May 21st, 2005, at the Heychal Hatarbut in Petach-Tiqva.

“several abstract paintings by Avi Golovinski. By applying several layers of pigment mixed with a hardening gel, Golovinski builds low-relief designs whose bright hues of red, yellow, blue and green meander in linear fashion up, down and around the canvas. The spectator is charged with unraveling a series of signs and random jottings that look like images from the iconographic cabinet of the late Keith Haring.” (Gil Goldfine)

“ The Karamis as a symbol of the human condition is an integral part of all Avi’s works. The artist, like the mythical  Atlas, carries the world on his back. It weights him down, but his creations explode in colors. Avi’s technique and tools explore the idea of post-modern freedom. Swirls of color turn into elaborate shells that trap wondrous creatures within their two-dimensional borders."
